Explored innovation in education—what innovation is and how innovation and creativity can be used to design more vibrant and dynamic learning experiences for students.
Learned about trends in education, how to develop a 21st-century school, and how to engage educators to think in innovative and creative ways.
Acquired an innovative mindset, explore innovations in action, and share information with others who are working on new programs and initiatives in education.
Considered how supporting student teachers, soon to be educators, in innovative thinking and creativity can help to engage new teachers in the teaching profession.
Participants had access to video presentations, reflective activities, discussion boards, and resources. They had the opportunity to earn an Education Innovation Champion digital badge and continuing education units.

Learn from examples of how organizations and individuals around the globe are tacking the challenges of ensuring equity, access, and quality for education. Innovators around the world have much to share with one another.
Construct a definition of innovation as it applies to solving education challenges.
Examine how innovation is used to address challenges affecting education. What are the biggest challenges (access, quality, equity) and how is innovation driving change? Why is the status quo no longer working?
Identify skills needed to be an innovative thinker and how to implement innovative ideas.
Identify using case studies how innovative practices and approaches are being used by people and organizations around the world to tackle the education challenges of access, equity, and quality.
Relate knowledge and insights from case studies and online discussions to your own challenges. How do you disrupt the status quo and create effective solutions? How do you remain flexible and adaptable to the needs of students today and tomorrow?
Synthesize what you have learned to develop your own innovation plans of action.
