ACEI welcomes new Country Liaisons representing Brazil

ACEI is excited to welcome Andressa Pellanda and Daniel Cara to our Country Liaison community representing Brazil. Andressa and Daniel are both representatives of the Brazilian Campaign for the Right to Education (BCRE).


Andressa is a project officer at BCRE. She is currently a member of the Alliance for Childhood and the National Association of Journalists in Education's Steering Committees. Andressa recently participated in an academic capacity program at the Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York, working in resolutions on education and public diplomacy.

In addition, she has also worked in advocacy with the Abrinq Foundation’s Save the Children program and was part of a team that developed the research and methodology of the first Legislative Notebook of the Child and Adolescent in Brazil. Andressa holds a bachelor's degree in social communication, with specialization in journalism, and a postgraduate degree in political science.


Daniel is a general coordinator at BCRE.  He is also a member of the University Council of the Federal University of São Paulo and has been a part of the leadership of the Global Campaign for Education and the Steering Committee of the Latin American Campaign for the Right to Education. In 2015, he was the official Brazilian delegate to UNESCO’s World Education Forum in South Korea.

Daniel is currently a PhD candidate in education at the University of São Paulo – US and holds a master’s degree in political science and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from University of São Paulo.
