TOGETHER – Respect, Safety and Dignity for All.
A United Nations campaign to support refugees and migrants.
TOGETHER is a global campaign that aims to change negative perceptions and attitudes toward refugees and migrants, and to strengthen the social contract between host countries and communities, and refugees and migrants.
Many of these refugees and migrants are children. They are innocents whose lives are being gravely impacted by their living conditions and their inability to access education so they can continue to learn.

The Secretary-General launched the TOGETHER campaign at the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants on 19 September 2016. All 193 Member States of the United Nations unanimously welcomed the TOGETHER campaign and committed to implementing it. TOGETHER will run until 2018, when Member States are expected to adopt two Global Compacts on Refugees and Migrants.
TOGETHER is a UN System-wide initiative led by the Secretary-General, which will be implemented in partnership with Member States, the private sector, and civil society. It aims to speak to communities hosting refugees and migrants and people concerned that refugees and migrants may bring physical and economic insecurity to their lives. TOGETHER will engage and activate global citizens to show support for refugees and migrants.
The campaign will highlight the economic, cultural, and social contributions that migrants and refugees make to countries of origin, transit, and destination. It will also counter some of the misinformation and misperceptions about refugees and migrants and encourage contact between refugees, migrants, and those in the destination countries.
