The Decade for Childhood

The understanding of child development grew tremendously during the 20th century. Today, however, we feel a growing unease about the state of childhood. International Exchange

ACEI operates international exchange forums that provide opportunities for educators to learn about educational systems and environments in nations around the world. These programs are generally scheduled for periods of 8-10 days and participants partake in visits to universities, development agencies, non-governmental organizations, and schools. Traveling as a group, educators are able to build professional friendships and to share critical perspectives on educational processes and practices. Information about new exchange programs will be posted on this page as they are selected.
