Call for Service on New CAEP Governance Committees

You are invited to participate in an unprecedented opportunity to shape the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as the new single specialized accrediting body for educator preparation. The mission of CAEP is to advance excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.

In its commitment to inclusivity and transparency, the nominating process for CAEP governance allows for self-recommendation in addition to recommendation by member organizations. CAEP is recruiting volunteers from various sectors, including P-12 practitioners, policymakers, postsecondary faculty and administrators, employers, parents, school board members, and the public at-large. Governance committees currently seeking volunteers include the following:

· International Committee
· Nominating Committee
· Research Committee
· Standards Committee
· State Partnerships and Content Areas Committee
