PURPOSE

The ACEI Hall of Excellence recognizes and honors outstanding preschool and elementary school classroom teachers. Through poster presentations at ACEI's Annual International Conference, teachers can share their best classroom ideas and practices with a large, professional audience of educators from around the world.

HISTORY

Recognizing the important work classroom teachers do, especially at the preschool and elementary school levels, ACEI originated the Hall of Excellence in 1991. Now the Hall of Excellence honors over 40 teachers each year.

GUIDELINES

  1. Hall of Excellence candidates can be nominated by any person or group wishing to recognize and honor the work of an outstanding classroom teacher. Candidates can also be self-nominated when a teacher has an exciting project to share.
  2. Complete an Entry Form for each teacher and project nominated. Mail to ACEI Headquarters.
  3. All entries will be acknowledged. The Conference Program Committee will evaluate the entries and notify nominees of final selection status.
  4. All presenters must be registered for the conference. If your organization nominates a candidate who is accepted, your financial support would help facilitate the nominee's participation.
  5. A 48" x 48" white presentation board and draped skirted 6' table will be provided for the presenter's use. Presenters may choose to preassemble their presentations before coming to the conference using their own display materials.
  6. Presentation materials must be arranged in a logical fashion on the display board. The title must be easily visible from a distance of 10 feet.
  7. Please do not use materials that cannot be replaced. The exhibit area will be secured, but ACEI assumes no responsibility for loss or theft.
  8. For consideration and inclusion in the Conference Program Booklet, Entry Forms must be received by January 1.
  9. A hand-out about your project would be a valuable addition to teacher resource/idea files. Please plan to bring and distribute 200 copies.
