Youth Perspectives on the Pursuit of Work
Just released by the United Nations is a youth report that is a culmination of a four week e-discussion with young people and representatives of youth-led organizations on the critical period of transition from school to work. As "Youth Employment: Youth Perspectives on the Pursuit of Decent Work in Changing Times" points out, the context of its findings is within a difficult employment scenario caused by the global economic crisis, yet at a time when the voice of youth has fueled unprecedented social change. One finding highlights young people's concerns for the quality and relevance of their education. This interactive report is designed for youth stakeholders to consider important education and employment policies and provides a platform for youth to contribute toward the shaping of those policies.
