This report, released by UNESCO in June 2012, contains important guidance for all nations. Do all children in your nation have equal access to education? Do all children in your nation receive the same quality of education? Education is increasingly seen as a key to the inclusive and sustained development of a society. Experiences in many countries demonstrate that persistent social and economic inequalities and exclusion can lead to disaffection, social fragmentation and even conflicts. Furthermore, exclusion from quality educational opportunities is often related to inequalities in society.
