Latin America and the Caribbean

Latin America and the Caribbean region have increased the availability of primary education in the last few decades through the construction of schools in many regions where indigenous people reside. Despite making tremendous gains to reform education, Latin America and the Caribbean region have struggled to educate citizens who are prepared to compete in the global economy. In many countries, efforts are being made through the work of non-profit organizations and government agencies to advance teacher skills, resources for impoverished families, and technology available in classrooms.
