Presidents’ Council Grant
Guidelines
1. Award Description
This grant is intended to help deserving ACEI student members have the opportunity to develop and explore their professional goals by receiving financial assistance to attend ACEI’s Annual Conference. Students can apply for a small grant to help them defray their expenses at ACEI’s Annual Conference.
2. Award Distribution
The number of awards provided depends on available annual funding. Awardees receive a free conference registration. Grants are typically $200 USD.
3. Review Process
Applications are accepted from current university/college students who are enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate or graduate), and emerging educators who have been teaching for one or two years. Applicants must be current ACEI members to qualify for eligibility. All applications should be sent to

. Applications are then forwarded by the Headquarters Office to the Presidents’ Council. The Presidents’ Council reviews and approves the finalists.
4. Requirements
Those wishing to apply must:
- Be an ACEI member
- Be a full-time enrolled undergraduate/graduate student or an emerging educator in their first or second year of teaching
- Describe their desire to attend the conference
- Provide specific examples of how conference attendance will help support their professional growth as an emerging educator.
5. Restrictions
Students/emerging educators may only apply for one student scholarship, or grant, per year. For example, if you are applying for a Student Leadership Award, you cannot also apply for a Student Scholarship Award or a Presidents’ Council Grant. The ACEI Executive Board may not nominate individuals for this award.
6. Due Date
The deadline for application to be received by ACEI’s Headquarters Office is DECEMBER 1st.
7. Recognition
The award is presented at ACEI’s Annual Conference. When possible, the awardee will be highlighted in ACEI publications or news.
