The Memorial Endowment Fund is defined in Article X of the ACEI Constitution as a fund made up of contributions from individuals or groups given in commemoration of a particular individual:
Memorial Endowment Fund: This fund shall comprise gifts in varying amounts from individuals or groups given in their own name or in commemoration of a particular individual, living or deceased.
A deceased individual who served the association with distinction and contributed significantly to the betterment of children can be nominated for the Roll of Honor.
The name of the commemorated individual, with a brief outline of his or her services to children, shall be submitted by the sponsor(s) to the Association. If approved by the ACEI Executive Board, the gift shall be accepted and the name of the commemorated person shall be added to the Roll of Honor. The brief outline of his or her services to children shall be recorded in the Book of Remembrances and an ACEI publication.
To nominate an individual for inclusion on the ACEI Roll of Honor, please submit the following:
When the contribution and supporting documents are received, the individual's
name is presented to the ACEI Executive Board for acceptance at its next regularly
scheduled Executive Board meeting (fall or spring). If approved, the name of
the person being memorialized is inscribed on the Roll of Honor, a framed parchment
scroll that is prominently displayed at ACEI Headquarters. The outline of the
individual's services to children is recorded in the Book of Remembrances and
an announcement is made in the ACEI Exchange.
