Patty Smith Hill Award

Introduction and Application

The purpose of this award is to recognize one truly outstanding ACEI member each year who has contributed significantly to the betterment of ACEI and children. Candidates can be self-nominated or proposed by members. The award can be made posthumously.

Eligibility

Qualifications include membership in ACEI for 20 years or more; exemplary, consistent contributions to the organization; and achievements in the field of childhood education that have brought recognition to ACEI.

What to Include in Your Nomination Package:

Although not required, most nominees place the documentation inside the notebook in plastic sleeves. Each nominee's background and accomplishments differ, thus making each nomination notebook unique. However, to the extent possible, the following should be included:

  1. Completed Nomination Form
  2. Nomination Letter
  3. Photograph of Nominee (optional)
  4. Current Curriculum Vitae of Nominee
  5. Letters of Support
  6. Samples of the nominee's work

  8. Professional Memberships and Elected Positions
  9. Awards, Recognitions and Honors
  10. News clippings, articles, etc. regarding nominee's accomplishments
