Every teacher has the
important task of selecting experiences that are challenging, educational, and
enriching. Since 1975, ACEI has been publishing "Classroom Idea sparkers," a column
in each issue of Childhood Education that provides practical help for teachers
as they try to enrich the lives of their students. The activities in this new
collection have been gathered from columns published since 1994. The activities
have been divided into six categories: Language arts and history, art and music,
